Autumn Time August - M&C Collabs

Oh Hi!

Yes, It's that time again where me and Cara have pushed the month's collab until the last minute but have no fear, this will be just as great.

If you read last month's collab you will know that we did something called "Just Say Yes July" inspired by Zoella. We would now like to know how you guys did so let us know by leaving us a comment!
I did well, I went up on a roof and I traveled to Lappeenranta and stuff. I will be having a seperate blogpost up soon about my 25 Things To Do This Summer list and most of them I did in july so stay tuned for that!

Now to this month's blogpost! Autumn (fall) is coming up whether you like it or not so we thought it was time to show you guys our Autumn essentials!

First up is the red lip and the winged eyeliner. It's such a simple look but I'll wear it probably every other day this Autumn just because I honesly LOVE it. I also need to buy the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 sometime this Autumn but I'm waiting for feelunique.com to have a discount so I can do some bargain shopping. Yes I'm that person. Also yes I'm wearing my onesie in that picture because that's also an essential for Autumn and Winter!

Next up is candles. Scented candles or normal candles I don't care, as long as they make my room feel cosy.

Of course, SWEATERS for Sweater Weather. These are just some of my sweaters but trust me, I have MANY more. I'm also going to buy a festive sweater sometime closer to Christmas so I can get more into the Christmas spirit. Though... Dare I say it... I'm already waiting for Christmas. OOPS.

It might just be me, but when fall and winter comes around I read lots more. I don't know why but I just like to curl up in bed with a blanket and a book and some tea or hot chocolate and disappear into the imaginary world that authors create. The books up there are books I'm most likely going to read this fall and winter and I'll be reading Mocking Jay for like the 5th time before I'm going to watch the movie!

Nailpolishes from Left - Right: Maybelline Color Show "Wow Orange
Paris Memories Nailpolish (No name or number)
                                              Golden Rose "Matte Velvet"
L'Oréal Paris Resist and Shine (Name has rubbed off, sorry!)
                                              Tanya Burr Cosmetics "Midnight Sparkles"

Last but not least is nailpolish. When Summer is over it's finally acceptable to wear darker nailpolishes and Gosh I love it. Of curse, orange for when the leaves start going orange and red, purple for in between and red for Christmas.

That's all for this time! Make sure to check out Cara's blogpost too and leave her some love!
Let me know what your Autumn essentials are!

School Life

I felt like putting this here as this is me on my first day
of school almost 10 years ago. Wow, I've definitely changed!

Oh Hi!

So I've managed to postpone this post until it's almost already too late to even post it on a saturday but I'm fighting through and writing as my friend is here. Yay for me!

I wanted to talk about my first two weeks at school even though it might not be interesting but if you'll keep reading you'll get 10 points so I mean, take those points and embrace them!

So as some of you may know I started a new school which meant new people and teachers and oh my gosh has it been good and refreshing! The teachers are honestly great (except one but I mean not everyone can be great sigh) and I've found myself friends and it's just been good.

What I don't like is my long days. I get up at 6am almost every day, I catch my bus at 7am and I'm home again at 4pm. On wednesday and friday I get to sleep half an hour more as I catch my bus at 7:40am because I start school at 9:15am those days.
It's more than tiring which also means I'm dead by 9pm and sleeping at 9:30pm, meaning I have about 4 hours of freedom because doing homework and such takes from 15 minutes to an hour unless I do my homework in school between classes!

I am however somewhat used to my schedule now and I find that I can sleep a little on my bus to and from school so I'm surviving haha. But my long school days means that I'm most of the time not able to write beauty wednesdays since I just put all my energy into school. But it's alright, I'll do beauty wednesday every once and again. (Also Cara if you're reading this we reaaallllyyyy need to talk about August's M&C collabs!)

I gotta say that I'm extremely thankful that I've found myself some great girls to hang out with and I have fun at school and I don't wake up every day and think "oh no I don't want to get up" which I've done in the past. Going to a different city to study was probably the greatest decision as it has made me happier (so far at least) and I hope that I will continue to be happy at my school.

ALSO I made it into the Student Council or as google translate suggested Student Association Board Of Directors. Anyway, this is a group of people, two from every class, who sit around and discuss things about the school and think about things that could be improved at school and also talk about the suggestions that other students have. So far we've only had one meeting where we picked "chairman" (all of these next words will be taken from Google translate so they might not be quite right), "vice chairman", secretary (which I am wow) and the person to take care of our money, which I didn't even know that we have money and I was amazed. I'm interested to see what it will be like and it'll probably be an interesting year!

If you've made it this far, write down that you now have 10 Maddie points which you can use to become loved by me!
Have you guys started school? And if so, what and how are you liking it? I wish you all good luck♥

The Liebster Award

Oh Hi!

So I recently got tagged by Ashlie from With Love A x to answer the 11 questions she came up with and then come up with 11 new questions and tag 11 people. Thank you Ashlie for tagging me!

I had no idea what the Liebster Award was before I got tagged so I might just explain it a little before I answer the questions!
So the Liebster Award is an award given by other bloggers, or as some might call it, a "chain letter". However, the point with it is for us smaller or newbie bloggers to get to know each other and in that way also receive more traffic to our blogs. This also means that all people tagged should have 200 followers or less. And that is why I am doing this. It's a great way to get to know new people and also of course, get more readers which is always fun. So let's get going, shall we?

Who is your biggest inspiration?
I would say that in general, I don't have just ONE person inspiring me, it's more of a group of people, all being youtubers and bloggers. I would say that Zoe (Zoella) is one of the most important to me, being that she suffers from anxiety just like me and she uses her influence in a good way, which makes me look up to her.
Another youtuber I really look up to is Alfie (Pointlessblog). Even though he's a guy I find that I can look up to him and admire what he does and how he manages to also use his influence in a good way. Alfie also inspires me to be a better person in general and same goes with Zoe. But there are lots of other youtubers that inspire me in the same way and if I named them all we would be here 'til Christmas (which is 130 days away, AAAAAAHHHH).

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
In 5 years I'll be 21 years old, and I hope that by that time I'll be in England studying at a University. What I want to study is still not 100% but right now I'm really interested in studying writing and the english language. We'll see how life goes and what crazy pats I'll go on, but I'm excited!

If you could only listen to one singer/band for the rest of your life who would it be?
This is a hard one but I would have to say The Script. They make great relatable music and as long as I can listen to their music and sing along while crying then I'm happy!

What is your happiest memory?
Christmas with my family. I don't have a specific Christmas I remember more than others but I've always been very happy on Christmas and to just get to spend it with my family is great. So that's probably my happiest memory!

What is your biggest fear?
I have 2 very big fears, one being heights. As soon as I'm even 1 feet above the ground I feel scared and that's not an over eggcaturation. I literally just can not be up in the air!
The other fear is that I'll be stuck in Finland for the rest of my life, or that I'll back down and not do what I want to do. Finland is a lovely country but I'd like to move and see new parts of the world and I hope to not EVER feel like I can't move from Finland because my dreams are not for Finland.

If you could change anything in your life what would it be?
I have to say that right now I am happy with my life and I'm not sure I would change anything, I would however like to add a boyfriend into the whole thing ;)

Reason behind the last time you cried?
I spoke to Emma Blackery on the phone yesterday (you can read all about that on twitter) and as soon as she hung up I ran out of the room and cried, I was just sooooo blown away by talking to her on the phone and how sweet and lovely she was and I've been watching her for so long and cried to her song "the promise" and to get to tell her how proud I am of what she did and how she raised money for charity was just too much for me to take so I ran to my mom and cried. True story.

What song would be the theme tune of a movie of your life?
The first song that came to mind is "Humans" by Christina Perri. I'm a person who does everything for the ones I love and sometimes it all gets a little bit too much, seeing that I'm only human. So let that play in your mind while reading future blogposts of mine!

What is your favorite thing about yourself?
Since I don't know if Ashlie meant personality or looks I will do one of each.
Personality wise I like that I'm stubborn. If I want something, I'm gonna have it, I don't care how much I have to work to have it. I know that I can't have everything in life like a prince and a castle and such, but the important things, I'm prepared to fight for them. And I really like that about myself.
Look-wise I really like my smile. I have pretty full lips and kind of straight and white teeth so I'm happy to smile at any time haha!

What is the best advice you have ever been given?
The best advice, or peace of thought, I've ever been given is "you are not your body". The person who said this didn't say it directly to me, but she made a video titled that and it changed my life. So that's the best thing I've ever heard.

What makes you feel confident?
I feel confident when I wear clothes that I like and know I look good in but I'm a pretty confident person naturally (it took a while to build that up but now I'm naturally confident) so I'm not sure there's a certain thing I do to feel more confident!

That's all the questions! Now it's time for me to tag 11 people with 200 followers or under and come up with 11 questions.

I tag:

The questions I want you guys to answer are:

1. What's the weirdest dream you've ever had?
2. If you could only use one lipstick for the rest of your life what lipstick would it be?
3. How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
4. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
5. If you had 48 hours to live what would you do?
6. What was your childhood dream job?
7. What's your favorite season and why?
8. If you had no fear what would you do?
9. Why did you start a blog and what is the meaning behind your blog name?
10. If you won 1,000,000 on the lottery what would you do?
11. What's your favorite book?

I hope you guys liked this blogpost and again, thank you Ashlie for tagging me!

Back To School | Tips & Tricks

Oh Hi!

So I am going back to school on monday which quite honestly makes me really sad. The summer break went by way too fast and now I'm here having to think about making new friends and buying books and notebooks and stuff, so it's not that exciting. But that's why I decided to write this blogpost today; to give you, and myself, tips and tricks to survive back to school and the whole school year over all!

1. Set a realistic alarm.
Trust me, you'll not be able to get up the first day at 5 if you start school at 9. You'll want to sleep in as long as possible. So think about how long it'll take you to get ready for school, and set an alarm so that you don't have to stress but don't have to physically DRAG yourself out of bed. And no one wants to end up snoozing the alarm until it's 10 minutes 'til school starts!

2. Do your hair the night before.
Again, you will NOT be able to get up very early in the morning to do your hair, so do it the night before. Either sleep with braids or if you wanna curl your hair, do it the night before and then you can just touch it up  a little in the morning!

3. Use cold spoons on your eyes.

I did this a lot last year when I was so tired every morning. I had a pair of spoons in the freezer (you can also put them in the refrigerator) and put them on my eyes every morning until they got warmer. It's supposed to thighten the skin around your eyes and make you look less tired, but if it doesn't do that at least you'll feel a little more awake from the coldness of the spoons and I totally recommend this if you have especially tired eyes!

4. Buy nice and good school supplies.

I don't know about you, but when I have nice pens, pencils and notebooks I enjoy using them a whole lot more. It's not just that they're cute looking, but that they're also good and not breaking every time I start using them. And if you do a lot of writing in your school, have an especially nice pen that doesn't make your fingers hurt so damn much from holding it, and don't use pens that end up being only like 5 centimeters because no one likes writing with that short pens! Also, pro tip, if you make notes, make notes with colorful pencils and not just plain black because it's (at least for me) a lot easier to remember stuff when I can remember "oh that line was written in RED" and maybe also use a different color for extra important stuff!

5. Eat a good breakfast.
I know I SUCK at this, because I can not for the life of me bring myself to eat a big and healthy breakfast at six in the morning but I've promised myself to try and eat more in the mornings. If you're like me, maybe bring an apple or another fruit with you that you can eat on the ride to school or while having a little break before or after lunch break, just so you'll have energy to concentrate in class! Also try and stay hydrated, especially during these hot days in August! There's nothing worse than getting dehydrated while being in school!

Last but not least, try to enjoy it. I know we all complain about having to get up so early and maybe we don't like every person that goes to our school but try to see something good in every day. Try to focus on what's important but don't beat yourself up if you don't get the best results on everything. You can't be best at everything.
Try to make friends and try to enjoy the time and listen to what the teacher says, because there's nothing better than learning new things and expanding your knowledge and thoughts. It's good for you, trust me! So embrace your school years and everything will turn out just fine!

Good luck on whatever you're starting now in fall, and remember to find something good in everyday, because it's there, I promise♥

Maybelline New York Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner | Review

Oh Hi!

So recently I've been doing lots of makeup searching for back to school and I wanted a liquid liner that would be easy to use. I asked Jade which eyeliner she was using and she said that she was using the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner and that she really really liked it so I decided to buy it.

I have never used a liquid liner in the form of a pen before so I was kind of scared to poke myself in the eye even though I'm somewhat an artsy person as I draw and stuff.
Anyway, I found this eyeliner to be easy to use and I was very happy with how my winged liner turned out when I used this. It dries pretty quickly once it's on and I found that when it's on it lasts for about 7 hours without smudging. When I used this the first time I tested it out so that I went and checked on it every hour or so to see if it had smudged and I wore it from about 1pm to 8pm without any smudging or creasing. About 2 hours later, when I removed it, it had smudged the tiniest bit in my crease but not dramatically smudged all over the eyelid which I find that the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner does.

I have pretty oily eyelids so I used the L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Smoothing Resurfacing Primer (that's a damn mouthful) before applying the eyeliner but I honestly don't think the primer makes any difference if you don't have oily eyelids.

I have heard that some people say that this dries out very quickly but I don't find that and neither does my friends who use it. It mostly consists of water so there's really no chance of it drying out after a week or so.

It costs 11,60€ and for me that's a price I will pay for an eyeliner if it's good and this eyeliner is definitely better than best!
I feel that Maybelline is getting better at making makeup now, so YAY MAYBELLINE.

I will definitely be repurchasing this unless something drastic happens and I end up dying using this eyeliner or Maybelline stops selling it, which in that case I'll be MAD.

Have you guys tried this? If so, what do you think about it? Let me know!

Iphone Life | 25th July - 2nd August

Oh Hi!

First of all, how is it already August?! I feel like it was Christmas just yesterday. Yes, I said the C-word and I'm already excited for the C-word and it's 144 days until the C-word. Yes, I'm already counting the days.

Anyway, today I thought I would take you into my Iphone life from the last week since I haven't done one of these since April which, if you wanna read that it's here.

As you can see we've been having really warm weather here in Finland and where I live and I, of course, had to take a screenshot of it for twitter or something like that.

When we were at our cottage I just couldn't help but take this picture of Tim because he was looking so cute!

I did the "No Mirror Makeup Challenge" for a video and of course I had to take a picture of the final outcome! You can watch the video here!

I bought the Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner and I wanted to try it out so I did this simple black winged eyeliner and red lip look a night when I was bored. Yep, what a life I lead.

My favorite icecream lollie, Magnum♥ I might have had one of these today too... Oops.

I did the illegal... I screenshot a snapchat. The story with this is that my friend Ida sent me a snapchat of her Share a Coke bottle with a random funny name and I told her that I never find my name on these bottles so she did the next best thing. What a lovely person.

On Thursday the rain was POURING down so the only acceptable thing to do was dance in the rain. So I did. And my mom took pictures. Thanksssss!

I've had lots of late night chats with Jade recently (as you can see from the time up there...) and I take screenshots when they're funny or just plain stupid so my phone is filled with screenshots from Jade and my texts to her. And yes, she's named "My Wife" on my phone, problem?

Again, here's another one. Just plain ridiculous and I did laugh at this so...

This was me earlier today when I was ready for a birthday celebration. My Uncle's wife turns 60 today!

And that's it! What have you guys been up to this week? Let me know!

No Mirror Makeup Challenge | ItsMaddiehbu

Oh Hi!

Today I'm coming to you with the "No Mirror Makeup Challenge" in videoform. I like to change things up every now and then and post a video instead of a blogpost and I thought that this would be the perfect video to film as I've never done the challenge and I thought it would be fun. It might be slightly boring since I'm consentrating so hard at some points in the video but nevertheless I do hope that you enjoy watching it! And maybe you'll even have a laugh at how my eyebrows turned out.
Give this a go yourself and see how you did and also let me know how you think I did!
